100 Goals! Incredible Tadić Hits Magical Milestone

In early 2023, inspired by LeBron James’ animation visualizing his historic 38,338 points in the NBA. AFC Ajax decided to create a similar tribute for Dušan Tadić’s 100 goals.

On February 19, 2023, Tadić scored his second goal against Sparta. Becoming the eighteenth player in Ajax’s storied history to reach this milestone. He is the first to achieve this feat in over 12.5 years. Following Luis Suárez footsteps, who last hit this magical mark in mid-2010. This remarkable achievement was celebrated with a special animation showcased on Ajax’s Instagram channel.

Working on this project was a thrilling experience! AFC Ajax provided us with footage of each of Tadić’s goals, which we meticulously analyzed and animated. Each goal was depicted according to the position from which it was shot and where it landed in the net. Using coding, we created a rig for the trajectory of the ball from starting point to where it would score another goal.

The animation was shown on AFC Ajax’ instagram page and gained traction fast gainig over 600k views and all most 45k likes.
